Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich made some curious comments about former Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a press conference leading up to the team's road game Saturday in the divisional round against the San Francisco 49ers.
During the press conference, Stenavich mentioned Rodgers and the dynamic of coaching him versus Jordan Love.

A reporter asked Stenavich about comments made by 49ers edge rusher Nick Bosa, who said that Jordan Love "does what he's coached to do," whereas Rodgers "kind of went outside the realm of coaching."
Stenavich said, "There definitely is a value to that, because half of the time when you get done with a drive sometimes, in past years, you're just trying to figure out what play was called."
"With Aaron, he would see stuff and make checks and all that, that you didn't exactly know what was happening at the time," Stenavich added.
While this may come off as a critique of the four-time NFL MVP quarterback, Stenavich made it clear that it wasn't.
"We're all kinda on the same page and going," Stenavich said. "Not to say that way wasn't good because we had great results with it, but this is nice because at least you can kind of build an offense around it. Build plays off of plays, as the game progresses, 'Hey we did this, now we're going to do this, now we're going to do this.'"
That said, Stenavich — who's been the Packers' offensive coordinator since 2022 — is enjoying the dynamic with Love now.
"I think our communication on the sideline has been better, just from that aspect," the 40-year-old said. "That is a huge advantage this year."
This season, Love has completed 388 of 600 passes (including the wild-card round game against the Dallas Cowboys) for 4,430 yards, 35 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He's thrown for multiple passing touchdowns in nine of his last 10 games.
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Packers are 9.5-point road underdogs against the 49ers.
