Second baseman and right fielder almost kill each other going after a pop-up and look who still caught the ball

A simple "I got it!" would have made this play avoidable. We're so glad no one said it, though.

Baseball collisions seem like they happen in slow motion and while you want to brace yourself for what you're watching, you kind of hope it doesn't end. Of course, the best collisions are when opposing players collide, when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object as home plate's the goal.

This play between three players from the University of Kentucky throws out all previous notions of what baseball collisions should be.

Whatever happened to yelling "I got it!" in situations like this one? Wouldn't that almost certainly reduce the possibility of crashing into a teammate and risking losing a sure pop-up?  Thank goodness for the center fielder for joining the fray a little late and coming down with the out.

This play would have been more amazing had all three collided and no one caught the ball.
