NFL could suspend Bears LB following blatant dirty hit on Packers player

The hit was NOT great.

During Thursday night's game between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers, Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan dealt this hit on Packers' Davante Adams in the third quarter after a short pass.

The hit was called dirty at the time, and now it looks like the NFL is reviewing the hit to determine the possible response. According to Ian Rapaport, Trevathan could be suspended for the hit.

The reaction to Trevathan's hit was swift:

Adams was knocked out of the game for the hit, and he wound up spending the night in the hospital due to a concussion. He was eventually released on Friday morning.
