I've seen tons of home runs hit in Major League Baseball stadiums. I watched Giancarlo Stanton do his best Babe Ruth impression when he hit 59 home runs while covering the Miami Marlins back in 2017. I saw Aaron Judge swat 47 long balls to win the 2017 MLB Home Run Derby. In the summer of 2019, I flew up to the Bronx to watch the New York Yankees live up to their 'Bronx Bombers' nickname.
Never have I ever been close to catching one of these dingers. First of all, you have to be lucky enough to even be in the same area that it lands. Then you've got to somehow get your paws on it without breaking a finger or seven. And listen, no grown man should be wearing a glove to a game. Hands are beer holders and beer holders only.
Just imagining snagging a home run ball out of the air is hard enough. Doing so while filming yourself catch it? That's some mind-boggling, other-worldly-type stuff right there.
That's exactly what one lucky Dodgers fan somehow accomplished, and now he has a story to tell his grandkids one day plus the video to prove it's real.
Dodgers Fan Films Himself Catching Home Run

The fan's name is Bobby Crosby, who at the time was a 19-year-old Los Angeles Dodgers season ticket holder.
What's even crazier is that Crosby not only caught Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Aaron Hill's home run ball on film during that 2015 game in Dodger Stadium's left field bleachers, but that he did the exact same thing at a baseball game just three weeks later.
Imagine catching a home run ball. Now imagine filming the entire thing. That's insane, but Crosby is able to film himself catching home run balls all the time. Something that would impress the late Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully for sure.
Oh, yeah, and he has a whole freaking Youtube channel dedicated to his craft, which by the way, is harder than what the actual players on the field have to do. No, really, look. Crosby's dodgerfilms channel has more than 1 million followers on Youtube.
It doesn't matter if it's a batter for the Oakland Athletics, Toronto Blue Jays, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, New York Mets, Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago White Sox or San Diego Padres. Heck, we're pretty sure he's caught one in the playoffs too. Meanwhile, I'm still hoping to catch a foul ball for the first time in my baseball fandom.

Still, he told MLB.com back in 2015 that catching two home runs in one month is "absurd." Uh, yeah, you think? I give myself a pat on the back when I'm able to eat a Cracker Jack or a peanut without nearly choking to death. Just finding my damn seat before first pitch is a win in my book.
If you ask me, though, this isn't the most impressive POV video I've seen in the MLB ranks. That belong to the "Nolan Ryan Fastball Cam" from behind home plate.
Well done, Bobby Crosby. But next time let a little kid have it, huh?
