Dirty softball catcher finally gets disciplined by school district

You've probably seen the now viral video of Needville High School catcher Megan Crosby elbowing two runners and somehow not getting ejected from a Texas softball game. The Needville Independent School District has finally handed down some discipline about a week after the incident. Needville ISD superintendent Curt Rhodes did not specify what her discipline was, but did give this statement:

"This action, which is two isolated incidents, is truly out of her character. We do not support the action, but she is a great young lady. We strongly support our students and coaches; they are very talented, dedicated people."

Neither school district has contacted the University Interscholastic League of Texas as far as seeking any sort of punishment. Rhodes did notify the league however, to inform officials of the statement he released.

The incidents resulted in a ton of outcry, including on the school's Facebook page.
