Baseball teams are on a weird kick to see who can create the most gut-busting sandwiches around. And it’s not just minor league teams looking for a gimmick. Major league teams are getting into the act, too. Here’s one courtesy of the Miami Marlins:
Yep. Pulled poked with mac and cheese topped with coleslaw. Sounds good individually, but together? Hmmmmmm.
This is on the heels of this amazing looking hotdog from the Wilmington Blue Rocks, a Single-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals,
If that’s not good enough — and it looks amazing — try the Houston Astro’s chicken and waffle cone with mashed potatos.
And, we’ll save the best for last: The Lake County Captains, the Single A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, have created this monstrosity — the three-pound Moby Dick sandwich, with 4,000 calories and 200 grams of fat. Check out the vitals:
Five quarter-pound fish filets, eight slices of cheese, six ounces of clam strips, one-third pound of french fries, one cup of coleslaw, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and tartar sauce on a 15-inch sesame seed roll. All that for $20.
Bring on the tums.
