Al Horford, Paul Pierce trade wild baskets as Atlanta Hawks take 3-2 series lead

Al Horford and the Atlanta Hawks fought tooth and nail to scrape by the Washington Wizards, and now the team with the best record in the Eastern Conference is one win from the Conference Finals.

Paul Pierce chipped in 11 points, including two huge buckets down the stretch and one that appeared to break the Hawks’ back with 8.3 seconds remaining.

It was Dennis Schroder that took the proceeding possession for the Hawks, eventually missing a shot at the rim and Horford was there to clean it up with 1.9 seconds left in the game.

It’s been a wild series, and the Hawks have a chance to clinch on Friday.
