Brook Lopez, Lance Stephenson head blockbuster trade rumors

With just over $30 million remaining on his contract, the Brooklyn Nets reportedly started exploring trades for Brook Lopez — among others — back in December.

According to Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Nets have accelerated talks surround Lopez, who has many potential suitors around the league.

Friday morning, the Nets reportedly balked at landing Charlotte Hornets guard Lance Stephenson and are reportedly now in talks with Oklahoma City about sending Lopez directly to the Thunder.

Wojnarowski reported Thursday night the Los Angeles Lakers have interest, Denver has discussed a package centered around JaVale McGee, while the Miami Heat considered submitting an offer of Chris Anderson, Noris Cole and Josh McRoberts.

He also noted Brooklyn is interested in sending Lopez to the Western Conference, and the Nets had considered moving for Charlotte’s Stephenson.
