Cleveland Cavaliers blow up the team in second blockbuster trade deadline deal

More moves coming out of Cleveland.

The Cleveland Cavaliers apparently aren't done making moves leading up to Thursday's NBA trade deadline and look to be starting over from scratch.

Less than an hour after acquiring Larry Nance Jr. and Jordan Clarkson from the Los Angeles Lakers, the Cavs completed a three-team trade for Utah Jazz guard Rodney Hood and Sacramento Kings guard George Hill, league sources confirmed to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

As part of the deal, Utah will receive forward Jae Crowder and guard Derrick Rose from Cleveland, while Sacramento will receive Joe Johnson from the Jazz, according to Wojnarowski.

Cleveland traded point guard Isaiah Thomas, Channing Frye and its first-round draft pick — not the coveted Brooklyn Nets pick acquired via trade — to the Lakers for Nance and Clarkson as part of its first deadline move on Thursday.

It's been noted that Thomas potentially had a chemistry issue with the team, particularly star forward LeBron James and was seen by many as a defensive liability.

The Cavs also reportedly traded former perennial All-Star and multi-time NBA champion Dwyane Wade to the Miami Heat — where he spent the majority of his career — for a second-round draft pick.

Regardless of what this means for James' upcoming free agency this summer, the moves should make Cleveland a better team as they look to return to the NBA Finals during the second-half of the 2017-18 season.
