The Houston Rockets are reportedly intent on trading Dwight Howard, and two potential suitors have emerged.
According to ESPN's Chris Broussard per Pro Basketball Talk, Howard would have interest in landing with the Atlanta Hawks or Miami Heat.
There's also this from Frank Isola of the New York Daily News:
Howard met with the Hawks in free agency in 2013, but opted to sign with Houston. He is from the Atlanta area.
A potential deal around Hassan Whiteside would simply be a one-year rental before the center hits free agency this summer. The Hawks, on the other hand, have center Al Horford and a system that simply doesn't fit Howard's skill set.
If the Hawks are focused on moving Horford, under the impression he won't re-sign in Atlanta this summer, a three-team deal involving the Boston Celtics could work.
The trade deadline is Thursday, February 18.
