It appears the Miami Heat and star forward Jimmy Butler are taking the Damian Lillard loss to heart.
Butler showed up to Heat Media Day with his hair straightened, eyebrow pierced, some snake bite piercings, and looking like he could be the next member of My Chemical Romance, Thursday, Taking Back Sunday, New Found Glory, or any of the other top emo bands that might appear at the next "When We Were Young" festival.
Just take a look and have a laugh.
“This is my emotional state."

As mentioned, the Heat missed out on Lillard, who was ultimately dealt to the Milwaukee Bucks. Lillard made it clear he wanted to go to Miami, but they had no interest in trading him there.

The Heat, the reigning Eastern Conference Champions, look to repeat this year with Butler, Bam Adebayo, Kevin Love, Josh Richardson and Tyler Herro trotting out as their starting five.
According to Ira Winderman of the Miami Heat Sun-Sentinel, Adebayo was in contact with Lillard during the process, but the big man said, "Obviously he had a different situation in mind."
Bam Adebayo said he was in contact with Damian Lillard throughout a trade process that ultimately had Lillard going to the Bucks instead of the Heat, "Obviously he had a different situation in mind."

The Heat's season begins on Oct. 25 at home against the Detroit Pistons at 7:30 p.m. ET, and we can only hope that Butler plays with that look and uses "The Sharpest Lives" by My Chemical Romance as his entrance song as the announcer introduces the team.
