The Golden State Warriors made history Sunday night when they beat the Denver Nuggets. They became the first defending champions to start their next season 15-0 and the second team ever to have that record to start a season. The 1957-58 Boston Celtics were the champs to start their next season 14-0 while the 1993-94 Houston Rockets started their first championship season 15-0 and finished 58-24 in the regular season.
Not only are the Warriors winning, but they’re doing it in convincing fashion. They are averaging a point differential of 14.5 points per game. MVP Steph Curry is averaging a league-high 33.6 points per game and he’s getting help from Klay Thompson’s 16.2, Draymond Green’s 12.3, and Harrison Barnes’ 14 points per game.
