Golden State Warriors make history with win over Nuggets

The Golden State Warriors made history Sunday night when they beat the Denver Nuggets. They became the first defending champions to start their next season 15-0 and the second team ever to have that record to start a season. The 1957-58 Boston Celtics were the champs to start their next season 14-0 while the 1993-94 Houston Rockets started their first championship season 15-0 and finished 58-24 in the regular season.

Not only are the Warriors winning, but they’re doing it in convincing fashion. They are averaging a point differential of 14.5 points per game. MVP Steph Curry is averaging a league-high 33.6 points per game and he’s getting help from Klay Thompson’s 16.2, Draymond Green’s 12.3, and Harrison Barnes’ 14 points per game.
