With the NBA Draft just days away, Sacramento Kings are involved in numerous trade rumors.

While talks continue to surround DeMarcus Cousins going to the Los Angeles Lakers, Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski reports the Kings will instead opt to move forward Rudy Gay in favor of creating cap space to target free-agent guard Rajon Rondo.

“For now, the Kings are pursuing trade scenarios for everyone on the roster, including talented forward Rudy Gay, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Sacramento is motivated to find a way to create more salary-cap space with possible deals, something that the Kings will need to pursue Dallas Mavericks free-agent point guard Rajon Rondo, league sources said. The Kings and Rondo have a mutual interest, with Rondo intrigued with the idea of a potential one-year deal in Sacramento that could help to rebuild his league-wide value, sources said.”

This comes after in June, it was noted the Kings would have interest in Rondo. A one-year deal to rebuild his image around the league before the cap spikes in 2016 could be something that entices the guard. Sacramento will at least have one competitor, which is likely the Los Angeles Lakers.
