Son of NBA HOF'er reportedly blames James Harden of all people for this terrifying incident

This is pretty bizarre.

Moses Malone Jr., son of the NBA Hall of Famer who played for the last Philadelphia 76ers team to win a championship, was robbed at gunpoint outside a Houston nightclub on Saturday night. There are conflicting reports differing on the amount of jewelry stolen —- it was either $15,000 or $50,000 —- but either way, that's a pretty scary incident.

According to a reporter for Houston's ABC affiliate KTRK, Malone believes that this Facebook post about the high cost of James Harden's basketball camp led to his getting attacked by the entourage of the Rockets guard:

A rep for the club told KTRK that he didn't believe Harden was involved:

"I don't believe Mr. Harden was at the club, and I definitely don't believe he had anything to do with an attack on Mr. Malone," Moore said. "And so the club's position is that Mr. Malone is a regular of the club. We would have done everything we could to make sure he was safe."

That's a pretty big leap in logic it seems for Malone Jr. Does he really think James Harden has guys monitoring social media to see who talks bad about him and then sends them to "take care of him" later? That seems pretty far-fetched, but it is a shame Malone was robbed at a club he is a regular attendee.

A spokesperson for the Rockets did not respond to KTRK's requests for comment.
