As if things couldn't be going worse for the Las Vegas Raiders, one of the team's most prominent recent stars in Chandler Jones is publicly calling for head coach Josh McDaniels to be fired.
Following a tumultuous few weeks from the inactive four-time Pro Bowler, Jones took to X to tweet his displeasure about the state of the team. The 33-year-old pass rusher posted the following semi-NSFW tweet calling for the Raiders head coach to be fired.
Get Mcdaniels the fck outta Las Vegas.. This my city.

"Get Mcdaniels the fck outta Las Vegas," Jones tweeted. "This my city."
Jones has been away from the team after being placed on the non-football illness list, with the Raiders pass rusher posting some troubling things on social media. The 33-year-old recently claimed that he was hospitalized against his will by Las Vegas Fire Department officials. This was after weeks of posts and screenshots of text messages that Jones has shared from McDaniels and Raiders owner Mark Davis, with the four-time Pro Bowler appearing to be very troubled while away from the team.
The star pass-rusher was supposed to be a huge signing by the Raiders prior to the 2022 season. The two-time first-team All-Pro and Super Bowl champion signed a three-year, $51 million contract with Las Vegas, but has struggled to play up to the expectations that came with such a huge deal.
While Jones has been tweeting all kinds of things at the organization, Raiders fans may be on his side when it comes to the firing of McDaniels. The former New England Patriots offensive coordinator has struggled since taking over as head coach in 2022, going just 6-11 last season while starting this year with just a 1-2 record.
Raiders fans are understandably impatient given the drastic moves the team has made over the last few seasons, including moving on from Derek Carr in favor of Jimmy Garoppolo. If things don't turn around quickly, there's a very real chance that McDaniels is fired before the 2023 season is even over.
