Jay Cutler has been awful this season for the Chicago Baears and does not look like a quarterback who is able to lead any team to a Super Bowl.
This offseason, Cutler was given a seven-year, $126.7 million contract, including $54 million guaranteed in hopes of Cutler leading Chicago to the promised land. Well, that hasn’t worked out well at all.
According to NFL insider Ian Rappoport, there are multiple people in the Bears organization that feel like Cutler is unable to lead Chicago to a Super Bowl. He added that Chicago doesn’t like where it is in the run game and that’s mainly because Cutler doesn’t check out of bad plays.
Rappoport reported that the Bears wanted to bench Cutler during the Buccaneers game three weeks ago, but didn’t because jimmy Clausen is the backup.
The Bears could ultimately trade for him, but who would want to take on that massive contract for a mediocre quarterback?
Chicago is going to be stuck with a very bad quarterback moving forward.
