Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles’ sophomore campaign didn’t get started in a positive way, and he’s not making things any better ahead of his second contest.
He completed 22-of-40 passes for one touchdown and two interceptions and the Carolina Panthers walked all over the Jaguars, 20-9.
After the game, fans criticized the team’s play-calling, which didn’t sit well with Bortles:
“It’s like a kindergartener saying something to a college kid,” Bortles said, via Pro Football Talk.
He’s probably right, but that’s not something you say publicly. Calling out the fans in that regard is a rookie move. He’ll learn from this misstep and move on.
