The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers were ready to go for Super Bowl LVIII, and players like Chris Jones were understandably emotional during the National Anthem.
Prior to the start of this year's Super Bowl, Reba McEntire delivered a strong performance of the National Anthem. The CBS broadcast cut to stars in attendance throughout the performance, including the likes of Taylor Swift. However, when the broadcast cut to Jones, it showed the star Chiefs defender starting to tear up as he soaked in the moment.

It's been a huge year for Jones and Kansas City's defense. The 29-year-old defender racked up 10.5 sacks in 16 games, leading a Chiefs defense that helped carry Patrick Mahomes and company through the regular season and into the playoffs. Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo has played a pivotal role, keeping teams guessing and shutting down even some of the more intimidating offenses in the league.
Jones has been a key part of Kansas City's first two Super Bowl titles. He's been a five-time All-Pro, including back-to-back first-team All-Pro selections during the past two seasons. His presence up front has been a huge reason why opposing teams have struggled up front.
Now, Jones will be hoping to keep riding the hot streak with Kansas City's defense, while Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Isiah Pacheco will be hoping to generate enough big plays on offense to bring the franchise its third Super Bowl title over the past decade.
