Jerry Jones Plays Beer Pong for Wild Dallas Cowboys Schedule Release

Jerry Jones usually spends the NFL Draft on his yacht. He dissects prospects in a boat worthy of a James Bond villain and in a way that can only be described as Jerry being Jerry.

Jones spends NFL schedule release day playing beer pong with Post Malone.

He sits in his office, relishes the 1990s, and eagerly awaits Post, who aptly plays the post man and delivers the Cowboys' latest list of opponents.

The only way to celebrate is with a friendly game of pong. Jerry is a student of the game and swats a Post bounce into the stands with his best Dikembe Mutombo impression. Malone returns the favor.

The party is just getting started.

Jerry and Post head to a balcony and shuffle schedule cards all over the front office lobby. Quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliot stroll through the storm. It's another day at the office that'll make for some killer water cooler talk.

Malone's hit song "Wow" plays over the video, which features a line about Presecott throwing a Hail Mary touchdown. It's fitting Malone hangs with Jerry. Other than being a global superstar, his Cowboys fandom stems from his dad Rich Post being the team's Assistant Director of Food and Beverage.

Onto the schedule.

America's Team will kick off the 2021 NFL season in the Hall of Fame game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Canton, Ohio. Other preseason matchups include the Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, and Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Dallas Cowboys open the regular season at Raymond James Stadium against Tom Brady and the defending Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The usual suspects from the NFC East are in there along with trips to SoFi Stadium to face the Los Angeles Chargers; Foxborough, Massachusetts to face the New England Patriots; the Superdome to line up against the New Orleans Saints; and Arrowhead Stadium to square off against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Las Vegas Raiders travel to Arlington for the annual Thanksgiving game.

It's worth noting NFL team owners approved an expanded schedule of 17 games in March 2021.

Cowboys fans hope things will improve for head coach Mike McCarthy in his second season on the sidelines. He'll have a healthy Prescott back under center, who suffered an ankle injury that was more than just cramps, in Week 5 of 2020. He inked a four-year, $160 million deal this offseason after being dealt the Franchise Tag in 2020.

The high-powered offense returns wide receivers Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and CeeDee Lamb. Zeke, of course, will rule the backfield.

In the 2021 NFL Draft, Jones and Co. went heavy on the defensive side of the ball —selecting Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons, Kentucky cornerback Kelvin Joseph, UCLA defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa, Iowa defensive end Chauncey Golston, Oregon State cornerback Nahshon Wright, and LSU linebacker Jabril Cox with their first six picks.

It's an unspoken spoken rule in Jerry World that anything less than a Lombardi Trophy isn't meeting expectations. The Super Bowl window is on the cusp of opening, but the Dallas Cowboys have the offensive firepower to at least do some damage in the playoffs.
