Deion Sanders Got Scared Silly By This Forgotten Snake Prank

On the field, Deion Sanders wasn't scared of anybody. Backing down was never an option for the former Florida State Seminoles cornerback who was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons and won two Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers in the 1990s.

Prime Time became an eight-time Pro Bowl defender and 1994 NFL Defensive Player of the Year for his god-given abilities and his built-in tenacity. Going up against football players like running back Bo Jackson (few people tackled him anyway) and wide receivers Jerry Rice and Randy Moss was just part of his job.

Sanders enjoys the unknowns of hunting and the wild, as evidenced by his legendary fishing trip with Moss. The Pro Football Hall of Famer, former MLB outfielder and football analyst is, however, apparently scared shitless of snakes.

When Prime Time reaches into a bread basket covered with a napkin, he's immediately startled by a snake underneath it. I'm not sure if it was a real snake, but I'm leaning yes considering Sanders' hilarious reaction turned him from "Prime Time" into "Time To Get The Hell Out Of Here."

I have no idea what TV show this terrific prank is from, but I do know that's Deion Sanders and former New York Yankees teammate Mel Hall alongside a host. That tells us that this gift of a clip likely took place in either 1989 or 1990, when the two played in The Bronx together.

Even better is that a video exists of Sanders and his Yankees teammates watching that very sports prank video in the locker room. They can't stop cracking up at the reptilian surprise and neither can we.

I'm sure Deion thought twice the next time he reached for that free bread at Olive Garden.
