A Dez Bryant Reunion with Dallas is Now Weirdly Possible and Perfect

The Dallas Cowboys desperately need a big-time wide receiver and free agent Dez Bryant is looking for a team. Seems like a perfect football marriage, right? Well, at least one party believes so.

Almost six months since America's team ran by Jerry Jones released Bryant in April, the 29-year-old pass catcher and former first-round pick is definitely be open to a Cowboys reunion. In fact, that would be his first preference.

What a bizarre turn of events. Bryant was essentially ran out of Dallas and now the three-time Pro Bowl selection is tweeting he would be all for returning to the Cowboys organization that picked him No. 24 overall in the 2010 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma State.

Forget the drama, though, and why Bryant, who was set to earn $12.5 million this season, was even released in the first place. Head coach Jason Garrett's offense, especially quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott, need another playmaker on offense in the worst way and who would be better than the Cowboys' all-time leader in touchdown receptions?

Through Week 4, Dallas has been nothing short of atrocious through the air, ranking 30th in the league, as Cole Beasley leads the team with 16 catches for 185 yards.

So, yes, it's safe to say the Cowboys should explore adding Bryant, who had 531 receptions for 7,459 yards with 73 touchdowns from 2010-2017, even if it means admitting they made a mistake a few months ago.

Bryant is doing his part to extend his NFL career in the most 2018 way possible, by posting workout videos to his social media accounts to prove he is ready to get back to the playing field and finding the end zone.

Who knows the chances Bryant has to return to Cowboys after such a sour ending. Meetings between the star wide receiver, owner Jerry Jones, executive vice president Stephen Jones and head coach Jason Garrett would all have to exist for it even to be possible.

It's just crazy to think this is even an option and watch it come true. It would be perfect.
