During an appearance on SiriusXM NFL radio, Verner thanked the Bucs and said he had received interest from several teams.

“I appreciate the Bucs doing this so early so I can get a head start on free agency. Four to five teams have expressed interest,” Verner said.

Vernad didn’t specify what teams were interested. The 28-year-old corner has 15 interceptions in seven seasons, but he only started three games in 2016.
