Super Bowl-winning coach reportedly joining his third team

Good for him.

Former three-time Super Bowl champion Larry Izzo is going to join the Seattle Seahawks as their assistant special teams coach, according to the Sporting News. Izzo was a member of the New England Patriots from 2001 to 2008 —- thus explaining why he has three rings —- and was a prominent member of the special teams during his time there.

He ended up coaching with the New York Giants from 2011 to 2015 in which time he won another Super Bowl, this time against his old team. He was most recently with the Houston Texans the last two seasons and now the 43-year old will replace Heath Farwell who took a job with the Carolina Panthers.

Izzo played 14 seasons in the NFL and was a three-time Pro Bowler. One time came with the Miami Dolphins while his other two appearances were with the Patriots.
