6-time Pro Bowler trashes former coach Chip Kelly ahead of Eagles’ playoff game

He didn't hold back!

LeSean McCoy, apparently, still has no love for Chip Kelly.

McCoy, who played for Kelly with the Philadelphia Eagles, decided to use a TV appearance to trash his former coach. During a spot for the NFL Network, Shady voiced his love for Philly, but admits that this recapturing of feelings was contingent on Chip leaving.

"I got a lot of love for Philadelphia now that the little short coach is with the kids where he belongs," McCoy said.

Yikes! Those sound like fighting words.

You might remember the crazy dysfunction that was happening when Kelly started shipping away Eagles players. McCoy was traded away so Kelly could snag former Oregon Ducks linebacker Kiko Alonso. This happened during Shady's prime.

In return, McCoy claimed race played a part in the decision, inferring Kelly prefers his players to be subservient.

When McCoy landed with the Buffalo Bills, he told ESPN The Magazine the following:

"The relationship was never really great. I feel like I always respected him {Kelly} as a coach. I think that's the way he runs his team. He wants the full control. You see how fast he got rid of all the good players. Especially all the good black players. He got rid of them the fastest. That's the truth. There's a reason. ... It's hard to explain with him. But there's a reason he got rid of all the black players — the good ones — like that."

To end this on a less sour note, McCoy believes the Eagles are in good hands with Nick Foles.

"Let my boy big play Nick throw the ball. I played with Nick . . . and Nick played well," McCoy said. "Let him play."

The Eagles will play the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship game for a trip to the Super Bowl on the line at 6:40 p.m. ET.
