NFL admits to screwing up end of Ravens-Jags game and that helps no one

Jacksonville Jaguars and Baltimore Ravens fans have undoubtedly seen this kick several times already this week and it seems the NFL finally saw the plays that allowed it to happen. The NFL is admitting to screwing up the end of the game that gave the Jags the opportunity to kick a 53-yard field goal for a win.

The Jags were able to get into field goal range because of a called facemask penalty against the Ravens. However, that penalty should have never happened because the Jags weren’t completely set and committed a false start that went uncalled. NFL spokesman Michael Signora explains:

So once again the Ravens find themselves on the wrong of a bad loss. It has not been a good year for officials or the Ravens up to this point.
