Pagano wants Luck to change his playing style before he hurts himself
during their game at Bank of America Stadium on November 2, 2015 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is out for the next several weeks due to a lacerated kidney and a tear in an abdominal muscle. He suffered the injury near the end of Week 9’s game against the Broncos when Luck took two brutal hits in the same play.

Colts head coach Chuck Pagano thinks Luck’s style was a factor.

“We’re going to talk every day until he figures it out and we figure it out as a team,” Pagano said, via The Indianapolis Star. “He knows full well that he can’t do that. He can’t put himself and this team in jeopardy. You love the grit, and you love the toughness and all that stuff. But playing the position like a linebacker? You can’t.”

Pagano mentioned that the team is not planning to push Luck back into play before he is completely healthy.
