The 49ers have reportedly agreed to terms on a Colin Kaepernick trade

Is a deal finally happening for Kaepernick?

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos have reportedly agreed to terms surrounding a Colin Kaepernick trade to the Mile High City.

The only hold up so far is Denver wanting Kaepernick to restructure his contract to make it more cap friendly. However, the parameters are reportedly set in place for a deal and it will be made if this can be overcome.

The alleged trade would fulfill needs for both teams. The 49ers are wanting to move on from the Kaepernick era, and the Broncos need a quarterback after Peyton Manning retired and Brock Osweiler signed with Houston. Add on that you have a new regime in San Francisco with new head coach Chip Kelly, you have the perfect scenario for a trade.

After back-to-back seasons of making it to the NFC Championship game, the Kaepernick train started to slow down in San Francisco. After the 49ers parted ways with head coach Jim Harbaugh over a year ago, you had a toxic situation get even worse, as San Francisco could do nothing to pull it together with Kaepernick playing like a shell of his former self.

More information to come on this reported deal as it is made available.
