This oft-injured RB is showing everyone what he’s capable of when healthy

Darren McFadden took a powerful leap to the front of the Dallas running back pack during Saturday night’s game against Minneapolis.

The 28-year old veteran was the third back in the game after Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar and he had the best and most explosive carry on the team, 13-yards with 13:59 to go in the second half.

“I think that what you saw was vintage McFadden,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said after the game, per the Dallas Morning News. “You saw that acceleration. You saw his abilities.”

McFadden’s abilities have never been the concern but rather his ability to remain healthy. So even if Jones decides to start the injury prone runner, there’s no telling how long his body will last before it gives out again.

In total McFadden rushed four times for 37 yards in Saturday’s game, adding a six-yard reception. The Cowboys lost to the Vikings 14-28.
