Tom Brady has already solidified himself as the greatest of all time. Even if the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback doesn't win a Super Bowl at 43 years old, he can already count six Super Bowl rings on his fingers. Not bad for a sixth-round pick out of Michigan, eh?
Brady's path to stardom wouldn't have been possible without his loving parents, Tom Brady Sr. and Galynn Brady. The New England Patriots legend was born in San Mateo, California and attended Junípero Serra High School. It was there that his parents helped mold a future NFL superstar who's thrown more touchdowns than anyone ever.
We may know much about Brady's wife Gisele Bündchen, but who are his parents?

Tom Brady's parents are father Thomas Brady Sr. and mother Galynn Patricia Brady.
The elder Tom of the Brady family owns an insurance company with offices in Boston and New York. The two have been married for 51 years now and celebrated their 51st anniversary in April 2020. That may be more impressive than anything young Tom ever accomplished on the football field.
Despite the millions and millions of dollars Brady has made each NFL season, and each time he's waded into NFL free agency, his parents still live in their original house in California on Portola Drive.
Tom Brady Sr. told The Eagle that his son hated losing at a young age. In fact, he's probably the reason his son became so competitive at everything he did.
"My fault," Tom Brady Sr. said. "I started it. Everything we did, and I mean everything, like running home from church, throwing a rock the farthest ... Everything was a competition. I guess it made things really fun, at least for the winner."
The Bradys Are a Close Family
The Brady bunch was a very close-knit family growing up. Brady Sr. and Galynn had four children in total and young Tommy was the only boy. The three girls were all athletes themselves.
Maureen Brady, the oldest, was an All-American softball pitcher at Fresno State in 1994 and has a daughter who is a star softball player at UCLA.
Julie Brady, who is Tom's twin, played soccer at St. Mary's College and went on to marry former MLB and Boston Red Sox infielder Kevin Youkilis.
Nancy Brady played softball at the University of California-Berkeley.
Papa Brady told The Eagle they attended every single one of their kids' games when they were younger, even once counting 315 total games in a single calendar year.
"One thing I always noticed is after every game you'd see the entire family, all his sisters, parents and even some aunts and uncles. They really stuck together," former high school teammate John Kirby said. "Tommy is definitely a product of that environment. His support system was special."
Even as grandparents, the Brady's have a lot to handle with a roster of Jack (Brady's son with Bridget Moynahan), Benjamin and Vivien.
Brady's Father's Jab At Bill Belichick
Tom Brady and the New England Patriots broke up this past offseason, and Tom Brady Sr. took a little bit of a jab at head coach Bill Belichick. It makes fans wonder how great Brady and Belichick's relationship was by the time he left.
"I'm guessing he's on a little bit of a hot seat right now," Brady Sr. told the Boston Herald.
The Patriots, of course, limped to a 7-9 record without Brady. Meanwhile, he led the Bucs to an NFC Championship and a Super Bowl berth.

Galynn Brady Beat Breast Cancer

Brady's mother Galynn battled breast cancer throughout the 2016 season. That struggle kept her from attending many Patriots games until she made an appearance at Super Bowl LI, in which Tom led an epic comeback against the Atlanta Falcons.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft even surprised Galynn with a Super Bowl ring after they won. She finished treatments in April 2017 and has been cancer-free since then.
Tom Brady spoke about what his family went through during that time.
"You see firsthand how everyone deals with different adversities, and you deal with different things, but nothing like life and death," he told 247Sports in 2018. "That's ultimately what really matters in life. You don't sweat the small things in life, at least I try not to. You think about the big things and that's who you love and care about. The things they're going through and how they're managing the adversities and stress in their life. That's really puts to the test, at least our family was at different times."
The Bradys' COVID-19 Battle

Both of Tom Brady's parents battled COVID-19 during the 2020 season that has been plagued by the coronavirus pandemic.
Brady's father, who is 76, was actually hospitalized for three weeks last year and the two of them were extremely sick. In an interview with ESPN Radio, he seemed more upset that they couldn't watch one of their son's games for the first time.
"We've never missed a game at Michigan or New England or wherever," Brady Sr. told ESPN. "For the first two games when I was in the hospital, I didn't even care if they were playing — much less missing the game. It was a matter of life and death, just like anybody who goes to the hospital. That's serious stuff."
Thankfully, Brady's father eventually recovered after hospitalization. Galynn, who is also 76 and a breast cancer survivor considered more at-risk from the virus, was able to stay home.
According to his dad, Tom Brady could barely focus on football while the two battled COVID-19, adding that he would "FaceTime me every day on his way to and from practice."
"Tommy fought through it, and so now it's in the rearview mirror," Brady Sr. told ESPN. "We're healthy, we're happy and everything is good.
Now healthy, Brady's parents were in attendance at Super Bowl LV when Brady took on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in a dynamite matchup. The game marked the 10th Super Bowl appearance for Tom Brady, who was coming off an NFC Championship Game playoff win over Aaron Rodgers' Green Bay Packers.
As Brady continues his post-retirement NFL career, it's clear he still wants to play, having led the Bucs to the Wild Card round in 2022. But, where he finishes his career is anyone's guess. For all we know, Brady could sign with the Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Rams, New York Jets or Baltimore Ravens, we're sure the GOAT's parents will be in the stands.
