Video emerges of fans, police fighting ahead of Eagles-Vikings NFC Championship game

This is just insane.

The reputation of Eagles fans is taking yet another hit following some antics prior to the NFC Championship game. While the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles were preparing for the biggest game of their seasons, a donnybrook between Philly fans and police broke out.

NJ.com reported that police horses were called in with the riot squad ahead of the big game.

Other videos on social showed fans pelting Vikings supporters with beer cans and glasses. Not exactly great gestures by the hosting team's fan base.

The Eagles advanced to the NFC title game after holding the Atlanta Falcons on a fourth-and-2 attempt at the end of their divisional game. The Vikings moved on to Sunday's huge showdown after shocking the New Orleans Saints with the Minnesota Miracle.

Now, the Eagles will have to face the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. Even with Nick Foles playing well in the NFC Championship game, they are likely to be pretty big underdogs.

For whatever it is worth, Eagles fans were as riled up following the game, but appeared far less violent.

If someone just woke up from a coma, then saw that video, they would have to presume the end of days just happened.

Fly, Eagles, Fly... or something.
