Former Alabama quarterback Blake Barnett reportedly slated to take his first official visit

Barnett technically opened the season as Alabama’s starter.

Former five-star recruit and one-time contender for Alabama's starting quarterback role Blake Barnett announced his intention to transfer from the school in late September.

According to 247sports, Barnett will take his first official visit to Oregon when the Ducks host Stanford on November 12. According to the report, Barnett will take all five of his allotted official visits and no other visits are planned at this time.

He took an unofficial visit to Arizona State two weeks ago, and Cal, Washington State and Michigan State have shown interest thus far, per the report.

Because Barnett transferred to a JUCO school, he only has to sit out four games next season.

Barnett technically opened the season as Alabama's starter. However, he was quickly replaced by true freshman Jalen Hurts in Alabama's game against USC, and the job has firmly belonged to Hurts ever since.
