Former LSU wideout Odell Beckham Jr. offered a professional baseball contract

Is there anything Odell Beckham Jr. can't do?

After Odell Beckham Jr. made his unbelievable catch against the Dallas Cowboys just six games into his career, we started wondering what kind of other freakishly athletic things he could do. He awed us again last Saturday during a charity softball game and threw this 90 mph pitch.

After Beckham threw this heater, the former LSU Tiger was offered a rookie professional baseball contract by the Rockland Boulders of the Can-Am League — the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball has a total of eight teams. The Boulders are based in New York, which would be convenient for the Giants receiver. Boulders general manager Shawn Reilly told Lohud.com over email that Beckham has the opportunity to take after of some of the most famous dual-sports athletes.

"It's apparent that Odell is a very gifted athlete regardless of his sport. We think that getting experience pitching to professional hitters will give him the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Deon Sanders and Bo Jackson," said Rilley. "As we are the New York area's only defending professional championship team, he will have the opportunity to learn in a first-class environment while still in close proximity to MetLife Stadium."

I can't tell you how much I'd love to see Beckham on a pitching mound during the football offseason. If the whole baseball thing doesn't work out, I'd say he already has a pretty decent fallback with his football career.
