Nation's No. 11 ATH Jermani Brown shockingly turns down Michigan State, others in surprise commitment

Jermani Brown was once committed to Arizona State.

A highly-touted athlete made a surprising commitment on Sunday evening. Four-star athlete Jermani Brown (5-foot-11, 175 pounds, Midlothian, Va.) announced that he would be verbally committing to Boise State, despite holding big-time offers from Virginia, Michigan State, Wisconsin and several others.

"The coaches and the way they sought after me, made me feel this was the best place and that they had the best of my interests at heart," Brown said via 247Sports.

Brown is a former Arizona State commit.

"It means a lot to me to be part of a winning tradition and I feel Coach (Brian) Harsin and all the coaches will restore that winning tradition. So I'm excited and it means a lot."

Brown marks the ninth commitment to Boise State's 2017 class.
