Ohio State coach says he's staying despite reports of departure

That's good news for the Buckeyes.

There have been several reports over the last day saying that Ohio State assistant coach Kerry Coombs would become yet another assistant coach to leave and he was going to join Luke Fickell at Cincinnati. He was supposedly going to become the associate head coach of the Bearcats, but he is refuting those reports directly.

Coombs has been with Meyer since he became the head coach at Ohio State in 2012. Coombs is currently the cornerbacks and special teams coach. Although it looks like his role about to expand according to Meyer.
