CBS Sports analyst predicts National Championship minus both heavy favorites

All aboard the hype train before it gets to full steam!

With less than a week before the college football season set to begin everyone is still getting their championship and playoff predictions in. CBS Sports' Brian Jones is no exception to that and he might have given us the most insane prediction yet. He not only has Stanford making the playoffs —- thus knocking out the Big 12 and presumed favorite of the conference in Oklahoma —- but excluded SEC favorite Alabama as well as ACC favorite Clemson.

Jones still has an ACC and SEC team in the playoffs, it's just Florida State and Tennessee. He thinks that the two programs will actually meet in a rematch of the first BCS National Championship Game.

So Jones has Tennessee beating Michigan in the semifinals and then beating FSU (again) in the title game. It would seem the Tennessee hype train has gone off the rails before the season has even started and there are no brakes to stop it. Tennessee starts its season on Thursday against Appalachian State before moving on to the Battle at Bristol against Virginia Tech in Week 2 in front of a College GameDay crowd.
