With addition of new talent, ESPN announces CFB lineup changes

We've got a solidified lineup now.

ESPN got a much needed win in the hiring column on Wednesday when the Worldwide Leader brought back talent it initially lost to Fox Sports. Molly McGrath started behind the scenes at ESPN and now she gets to come full circle and be a part of its main college football coverage. With all of the recent losses, this means some shuffling around in the lineup and McGrath can help with that.

ESPN released a statement in regards to the lineup changes and it sounds like they're pretty excited about it.

From ESPN:

"The new opportunities for Dave, Adam and Laura prove, once again, the quality of our on-air lineup and the growth opportunities that exist at ESPN, while Molly's addition adds another high-caliber reporter and host to our roster as we enter a new season," senior coordinating producer Lee Fitting said. "Thursday and Friday night telecasts are an integral part of our college football coverage and we look forward to these two new commentating teams working these primetime games each week."

"David's analysis, insights and, most importantly, his opinions have elevated him to a top college football analyst," said Fitting. "Having him on our studio programming, nearly on a daily basis throughout the season, maximizes his strengths and makes ESPN's college football coverage better."

These are the moves being referenced by ESPN:

  • Dave Flemming will call Thursday night games.
  • Adam Amin will call Friday night games.
  • Laura Rutledge is the new Thursday night sideline reporter.
  • David Pollack has re-signed with ESPN, will continue his work on College GameDay and will have a more prominent in-studio role.
