North Carolina losing depth in the backcourt with latest injury

That doesn't sound good.

North Carolina point guard Seventh Woods has missed the last two games with a plantar fasciitis issue and it appears he may be missing more games because of it. Head coach Roy Williams said that the team is getting more information on the injury, but he really doesn't know how long he might be out. Here's what he said via Inside Carolina:

"We get more information every day... but he is going to be out for a while. We don't know how long. I think they are still checking with another person, too. I would guess... I really don't know. I just know he is going to be out a while."

Woods has been playing backup minutes in his sophomore season with the Tar Heels and has been averaging 2.4 points, and 1.7 assists in 10.9 minutes. He is shooting 35.0 percent from the field as well. The 8-1 Tar Heels will likely see freshman Jalek Felton get more minutes.

UNC next plays Western Carolina on Wednesday as well as Tennessee and Wofford after that.
