5-star, No. 1 dual-threat QB Justin Fields believed to be "buying in" to one big-time program

Fields is ranked as the No. 3 overall recruit in the country.

One of the top recruits on the market, Justin Fields, is making his rounds after decommitting from Penn State just 10 days ago.

He took visits to Florida State and Florida within the last week, and after a date with the Seminoles, four-star recruit Isaiah Bolden believes the 5-star, No. 1 dual-threat quarterback may be buying into the program and what commit Amari Gainer is selling.

From 247sports:

JN: Did Fields seem like he was enjoying himself? Was he 'buying in' to what Amari was saying?

IB: Yeah he was buying in a little bit. Houston (Griffith) too. I was talking to him too, we talked about doing something special. It's just a matter of time.

This comes after reports that Fields believes Florida State and Penn State are the two best fits for him as a player:

It is no surprise that Penn State would be in the mix given the prior affiliation of a commitment but, with the Seminoles, it would be an interesting fit from a depth chart standpoint. Fields classifies as a dual-threat quarterback (arguably the top player in this mold in the country) but Florida State does have Deondre Francois entering just his sophomore year at the position.

Programs like Georgia, which would be the in-state option for Fields, are definitely interesting as well but fit and comfort level are incredibly important. Keep an eye on both the Seminoles and Nittany Lions moving forward.

Fields is ranked as the top dual-threat quarterback in the country and No. 3 overall recruit by the 247Sports Composite Rankings. The 6'3?, 221-pound QB out of Kennesaw, Ga. has 21 predictions on his 247Sports crystal ball with 52 percent of them belonging to the Gators right now.
