According to FootballScoop and SB Nation, LSU has is expected to name Ed Orgeron the head football coach on Saturday. LSU is holding a press conference at noon CT to announce the hiring.

Orgeron was 5-2 as the interim head coach after he took over for the fired Les Miles, and it looks like it was enough to win him the job. Orgeron’s chances had fallen after losses to Alabama and Florida, but internal support for Orgeron appears to have won out in the end.

It looks like we now wait on Houston head coach Tom Herman to make his own decision to kick off the 2016 coaching carousel.
