The Alabama Crimson Tide fell short against the Clemson Tigers on the biggest stage in college football and, both prior to and after the contest, skeptics pointed to the change of offensive coordinator from Lane Kiffin to Steve Sarkisian as a reason for the loss. With that as the backdrop, Sarkisian was approached by TMZ Sports earlier this week and he was asked to comment on both that switch and his future head coaching prospects.

Sarkisian handled this the only way possible without ruffling feathers, indicating that he would like to be a head coach again in the future but that there is "a lot of work to be done" before that can transpire. In the same breath, it is at least noteworthy that the former Washington and USC head coach would like to ascend to a top-level position again, simply because of how things ended during his previous stop.
Alabama will enter the 2017 season as, once again, one of the favorites to claim the national title and it will be very interesting to see how the offense looks with Sarkisian at the helm full-time. Throw in the fact that Jalen Hurts and Bo Scarbrough will be back for another campaign and the sky is the limit.
