Four-star WR Frank Ladson Jr. has a new top five after Florida decommitment

That is a list of the real heavy hitters.

Four-star receiver Frank Ladson Jr. decommitted from Florida back in December and it looks like he has a new top five list as he told 247Sports. He told them he's working with a top five of Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, and Miami in no specific order.

Ladson recently took a visit to Clemson over the weekend and mentioned academics and the staff's commitment to it as a reason he likes the Tigers.

"Since Dabo Swinney was head coach, 172 of 177 seniors have gotten their degrees," Ladson said. "That stood out most about the whole visit."

He spent time with co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Jeff Scott on the trip and he said that the two talked about he can become not just a better player, but also a better person if he were to end up at Clemson.

The 6-foot-4, 170-pound receiver out of Miami is ranked as the No. 23 receiver in the class of 2019 as well as the No. 12 recruit in the state of Florida according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He also has offers from Florida State, Tennessee, South Carolina, UCF and USF among others.
