Former four-star Ole Miss WR Van Jefferson is transferring to another SEC school

He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Ole Miss wide receiver Van Jefferson is transferring and it appears that he has found a destination.

Jefferson confirmed on Monday that he plans to transfer to Florida.

Jefferson was among those granted his release from the Ole Miss program after the school was hit with NCAA sanctions. Jefferson had been considered a favorite to join former five-star quarterback Shea Patterson at Michigan, but it looks like an official visit to Florida swayed Jefferson in favor of the Gators.

Jefferson had 999 receiving yards and four touchdowns in his two seasons with Ole Miss. Jefferson was ranked as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite coming out of high school, and he should have two years of eligibility remaining.

Jefferson is expected to be eligible for the 2018 season due to the sanctions imposed on Ole Miss.
