Kirk Herbstreit thinks LSU should absolutely hire this one coach

He's not the only one.

Everyone has been jumping on the LSU coaching bandwagon and they've been giving their opinion on who they think should be the next coach after Les Miles' firing. Some names that have been coming up are Tom Herman (Houston), Urban Meyer (Ohio State) and Jimbo Fisher (FSU).

ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit specifically thinks there's only guy LSU should be going after though and that's Tom Herman. He thinks Herman coming from the Urban Meyer coaching tree and his recruiting prowess could come in handy in Baton Rouge.

"It takes an iron fist of a personality to go down there and have consistency. The guy that I think is a perfect fit is Tom Herman. Right now he's the flavor of the month thanks to the offense and what he's doing in Houston. If I were in charge of LSU, that's the only call I would make... Not only is he the right fit but he's young and he could take Urban Meyer's system to Baton Rouge. If Tom Herman goes to LSU, look out."

Herman could become a superior head coach at LSU given the amount of top notch recruits that come out of the area and his ability to recruit those kids would certainly come in handy. With Saban getting older and closer to retirement the SEC West could become LSU's and Herman's division to command.
