Report: ESPN has decided on Colin Cowherd replacement

It was announced just last week that long-tenured radio host Colin Cowherd would be leaving ESPN for Fox Sports 1 with no replacement reported at the time.

There's no reported starting date, but Richard Deitsch hints in his recent column it could be by October 1. He also noted a potential replacement:

"As for Cowherd's replacement, multiple sources told SI.com that The Dan Le Batard Show, which currently airs on ESPN Radio from 4-7 p.m. ET, is the frontrunner to take over Cowherd's morning 10-1 p.m. spot."

Even more so, during his fill-in on The Herd Monday afternoon, Danny Kanell joked with Jon Weiner—who co-hosts The Dan Le Batard Show—that he would get used to how things are in Bristol.

Whether that's a hint that Weiner and Le Batard are prepping to take over or not, isn't clear at this time, but it does follow the line of SI's report.
