NFL refs missed obvious facemask that benefitted the Seahawks

This is absurdly poor referring.

If the Lions lose by a score or less, they will have A LOT to be upset about.

In the first half of their playoff game against Seattle, the Lions were backed up defending their own red when Seattle's Paul Richardson made what looked like an incredible catch in the end zone for a touchdown. There was one problem though: Richardson was obviously holding the facemask of the Detroit defender as he scored.

Apparently the refs later told Detroit head coach Jim Caldwell that they missed the call, but that obviously doesn't help the Lions at that point. Seattle was credited with the score, and the game has remained close into the fourth quarter.

Looks like Seattle's homefield advantage extends beyond crowd noise.
