Former Alabama receiver and current Atlanta Falcons star Julio Jones had 83 catches for 1,409 yards this season, which might not seem like much, but he did only play in 14 games. He had a bad case of turf toe that has limited him at times and it looks like it gotten serious enough to require surgery according to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport.

Rapoport reported the following Sunday:

Jones will receive a full evaluation on his foot, sources say, and going under the knife is either likely or possible depending on whom you ask. … If Jones needs surgery, the procedure to fix torn ligaments associated with turf toe will be measured in months but not expected to delay his 2017 season.

Jones described himself as “full go” for Sunday during media week after a week of rest.

“It is what it is,” Jones said of the injury, “but a good week for anybody just relaxes the body and helps you get back to being healthy.”

He’s been the best player on the field at times in the postseason and it hasn’t even been close. In Atlanta’s two playoff games, Jones has 15 catches for 247 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Falcons are surely hoping he can continue his hot streak for the biggest game in franchise history.
