Daughter of pro wrestling legend possibly heading to WWE

This should be fun!

Hopefully this becomes permanent very soon.

Tessa Blanchard, the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer and Four Horsemen legend Tully Blanchard, announced earlier this week that she was to wrestle in WWE's Mae Young Classic women's tournament. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer confirmed her participation in the tournament.

Blanchard, 21, had had some dealings with WWE in the past, mostly in the form of short matches on the NXT developmental program. Blanchard has not be under full contract, though, as she has been wrestling for other promotions such as Japan's Stardom and Wrestle Circus.

The thought is that Blanchard will eventually find her way to WWE in a full-time role at some point.

The Mae Young Classic will be taped in July, with Jim Ross and Lita expected on commentary.
