2017's top PG says these schools are working the hardest to recruit him

Some might be working even harder than others still!

Class of 2017 point guard Trevon Duval is one of the most highly sought after recruits in the class and for good reason. He's believed to be an easy choice for a one-and-done career and a top pick in the NBA Draft when he goes in 2018. He is currently ranked as the top point guard in the class and a top-five player overall.

He is being recruiting by pretty much everyone who is anyone, but he says that there are five schools working the hardest to secure his services. There are a few names on here you expect to see and maybe a couple you wouldn't have thought would be in the same sentence as these other guys.

From a report by SNY.tv's Adam Zagoria:

The 6-foot-3 point guard out of Dallas (TX) Advanced Prep International lists Maryland, Arizona, Kansas, Baylor and North Carolina as the schools working the hardest for his services.

"I'm not sure about any visits yet," Duval said at the Under Armour Association stop here. "I'm not really focused on recruiting right now. I'm just taking it slowly."

Maryland is definitely going to need another guard if Melo Trimble leaves school after the upcoming season to go pro (assuming he has a much better junior year than the sophomore campaign he suffered through) as will Kansas since Bill Self didn't go out and get any guards for this upcoming season.

Archie Miller at Arizona has proven he can recruit with the best of them in the Pac 12 so that's no surprise and Roy Williams has been able to get some pretty good guards in recent years like Marcus Paige and Joel Berry so this will be another chance for Roy to prove his worth on the recruiting trail. Baylor getting in on the action is a little surprising, but that's exactly why you keep on the recruiting until the kid has signed his letter of intent.
