Arkansas offensive coordinator Dan Enos just received an enormous raise

Arkansas is betting on their offensive coordinator massively here, and it just might pay off.

Arkansas offensive coordinator Dan Enos impressed the Arkansas athletic department so much in his first year that he just got a raise. A big raise. Actually, "big" might not be enough to describe it.

Yep, Enos is going from $150,000 to $700,000 next season. That is an increase of nearly 400-percent, and his pay will go up $50,000 per year for the life of the contract.

Enos definitely earned an increase after the Arkansas offense started to pick up towards the end of the season. After a slow start, the Razorbacks started to click, winning six of their final seven games of the season. Arkansas finished 27th in the nation in scoring offense and 29th in total offense. Those numbers were massive improvements from 45th and 63rd in the 2014 season, and Arkansas is betting on Enos to continue improving over the next few seasons.

That bet is likely to pay off, as Enos is not some random rookie coach. Enos is a former Michigan State assistant, and he was the head coach at Central Michigan for four years before resigning to take the Arkansas job. So SEC teams, take this as a fair warning: Arkansas could be a powerful team on offense in the 2016 season.
