Brock Osweiler just poked the bear by throwing shade at Tom Brady, who doesn’t forget these things

It's easy to say this when Brady won't suit up for your matchup.

Tom Brady has earned his place in the NFL's Mount Rushmore — being a four-time Super Bowl champion will do that for you. Just don't tell Houston's Brock Osweiler about it because he's not trying to hear it.

Maybe it's the deal he received from the Texans that's caused him to have a big head. Head coach Bill O'Brien and offensive coordinator George Godsey both used to work with Brady and want Osweiler to take notes from the Book of Tom. Only Osweiler isn't all that receptive to the advice.

"They refer to Tom Brady a lot." Osweiler told the Houston Chronicle. "With all due respect to Coach O'Brien and Coach Godsey, I've told them I'm going to be me. I'm not here to be a puppet, if you will. I'm going to be who I am and believe in what I bring to the table every day."

Did he just call Brady a puppet? Like Pinocchio? So he's calling him a liar? Kidding, but man is that some serious shade to throw at the guy who doesn't forget ANY perceived slights.

It's worth noting that the Texans and Patriots play September 22, which is week three of the 2016 NFL season. Unfortunately, Brady will only be there in spirit. Just don't be surprised when 2017 rolls around and these teams meet, if Brady is carving up Houston like a Thanksgiving turkey.
